Christmas Season Open Mic Night / Origin Coffee & Tea

We are back with our monthly Open Mic Night this Saturday night from 7pm-10pm. We have a great line up of musicians that are coming out to keep you entertained. This is our last big event before Christmas so be sure to come out and support these great musicians as well as the girls that Origin Coffee works to serve. Here are just some of the musicians that will be sharing with us on Saturday night. If you have some talent that you would like to share with us please come on out and you can sign up at the door. Everyone is welcome!

This band has a big following in Northern California so chances are you have already heard them. We are excited to bring these guys to Origin Coffee and they are preparing a special show for us. You can hear some of their music if you visit their Facebook page . If you happen to be one of the few people who hasn’t already heard “Love Is” you are going to be in for a real treat. These guys are worth seeing all on their own but Saturday night we have two other fantastic performers sharing the Origin Coffee stage.

I grew up in the forest reading poetry to myself and the birds and the deer.

Autumn Sky is an award-winning, multi-instrumentalist indie-pop singer/songwriter from Sacramento, CA. At twenty-two years old, she has been playing to the crowds of Sacramento for just over four years and garnered much local acclaim for her lively and engaging shows, as well as her debut EP and album, Diminutive, Petite EP (2007) and All Which Isn’t Singing (2008.) A local indie darling in her hometown, her dynamic shows (for which she, also a talented visual artist, designs and constructs matching stage sets,) have gathered an intensely loyal following and reviews such as “the brilliant splendor of the vocals held the audience captivated and gave me goose bumps,” (Laura Winn, The SF Examiner, 2009.) Her unique style mixes pitch-perfect and deeply emotive vocals with indie and pop sensibilities, setting her apart among a sea of singer/songwriters with a mix that manages to entice both young and old with catchy hooks and carefully crafted lyrics. She is based out of Sacramento, CA.

Finishing off the night with an acoustic set will be Kingdom Band. These guys ROCK but they are going to show us a lighter side this Saturday night.
