According to California Against Slavery, 100,00 to 300,000 American minors are at risk of being exploited in domestic sex trafficking every year.
California is currently failing when it comes to protecting children against sex trafficking. That is why the C.A.S.E. (California Against Sexual Exploitation) Act has been composed.
This act has several proposed initiatives, here are a few:
- Increase the prison sentence for sex offenders
- Mandate training for law enforcement
- Sex offenders to disclose internet accounts
This proposal MUST make its way onto the November 2012 ballot!
